About our Founder:
Prophet Dr. Angela Y. Brooks
Angela accepted her call into the ministry in June of 1997 under the Pastoral leadership of the late Rev. McKinley Jones of Union Hill CPCA, the church where she grew up in and served most of her life.
Dr. Brooks is a graduate of the North Carolina College of Theology where she obtained her Doctorate’s Degree in Theology of Biblical Studies. Angela is always furthering her studies to show herself approved unto God, a workman that needed not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
Dr. Brooks is the Founder/CEO of Break of Dawn Prayer Ministry International, Angela Y. Brooks Ministries and Helping Hands Ministries. Dr. Brooks loves to inspire others to deepen their prayer life where God makes their impossibilities a reality, as well as positioning them to obtain deliverance and breakthrough. Angela has a heart of gold, she’s one after God’s heart, always willing to lend a hand in the lives of God’s people when need.
Dr. Brooks always knew there was a special call on her life. As she continues to yield to and obey God through the years, she began to understand and accept the fivefold anointing on her life. In 2021, Angela accepted her call to Apostolic Ministry, and has been affirmed in this Mantle with great humility. She gives glory to God for all the things He is doing in her life. She is a Kingdom Builder, Global World Changer, Prophet of God, and Evangelist – to the Glory of God.
Angela is a former associate minister of Harvest Time Outreach Ministries, where she served faithfully for over 16 years under the Pastoral leadership of Bishop Elijah Gray III and Dr. Victoria Gray. Currently, Dr. Brooks sits under Apostle Sylvia L. Moore, Pastor of Abounding Love Ministries, who serves as Overseer of Break of Dawn Prayer Ministry, Intl.
Throughout ministry, Dr. Brooks has experienced deliverance and healing from the spirit of rejection, depression, fear, as well as other personal and emotional struggles. Through it all, God has been faithful. She is a true woman of God who loves God with all her heart. She is honored and thankful to be used as a vessel for the Master’s use.
Dr. Brooks is a native of Huntsville, Alabama, and the proud mother of three children: Demetria & LaCresha Brooks, and Bobby Matthews (Marquita); two grandchildren; Jeremiah and Jamari. Dr. Brooks is a retired employee of the Headquarters U.S. Army Materiel Command, Redstone, Arsenal, AL, where she worked for 36 years.
Her motto is “For me to live is Christ, and to die is gain; for I have been crucified with Christ, it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God who loved me and gave himself for me.” But most importantly, I am a Born-Again Believer, a Child of the Most High God, and a Servant to All.
I invite you to tune in to Break of Dawn Prayer Ministry Radio Program on Sundays, 2:30-3:30 pm on WDJL 1000AM Radio Station.
